HAMILTON BAPTIST CHURCH

The services on Sunday, July 7, at 10.45am and 6.30pm will be led by the senior pastor, David Wilson.

The morning service will be followed by light refreshmen­ts in the church halls.

After the morning service, two members of the congregati­on will be available to pray with anyone feeling the need of prayer.

The church has a Youtube Channel which is showing both live and recorded church services – search on Youtube for “Hamilton Baptist Church”.

ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, UDDINGSTON

Fr Towey wished all our families and their children a very happy summer holiday. He thanked the staff of St John The Baptist Primary for all their help and commitment during the past year and prays everyone will return safely from wherever they spend the summer.

The church is delighted to welcome Fr Jarek back to the parish for a few weeks while Fr Towey has a well-deserved holiday back home in Ireland.

All the pilgrims who are off to Medugorje are wished a safe journey and a very blessed pilgrimage.

Masses and services from the parish are available on the web. Go to www. saintjohnb­aptist.org and click on the box that says ‘church web cam.’ People on the web from all over the world daily join the services from the church, so why not have a look, especially if you are housebound for any reason. You are daily welcomed by Fr Towey at the beginning of each service and are remembered in prayers.

On Monday the Padre Pio prayer group meet after the 9.30am mass and a silent prayer vigil for life is held from 8pm to 9pm.

The SVDP meet at 5.30pm on Tuesdays and the RCIA continues at 7.30pm in the small hall.

On Wednesdays a divine mercy hour begins at 7pm in the oratory and a prayer and praise group meets from 8pm to 9pm.

The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays, 10am to 7pm.

Church cleaning is on Friday mornings after mass if anyone would like to help.

Sunday masses: Vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm.

Weekday mass: 9.30am daily, plus 7pm on Monday during Lent. Rosary : 9.10am daily. Confession­s: Saturday 9.00 to 9.25am and after vigil mass.

HAMILTON WEST PARISH CHURCH

The next service will be held on Sunday, July 7, and this will be a joint service with linked partners Gilmore & Whitehill. The service will start at 10.45am, please note the change of time, and it will be led by locum John Nicolson.

This will be the first of four services to be held at the West in the month of July. All are welcome to come along and join. Tea and coffee will be served after the service.

BLANTYRE LIVINGSTON­E MEMORIAL PARISH CHURCH

Rev Murdo Macdonald will lead the worship on Sunday, July 7, at 10am and a warm welcome will be extended to the congregati­on of St Andrew’s Parish Church.

Tea and coffee will be served following the service.

The church will worship with St Andrew’s congregati­on in Livingston­e Memorial Church at 10am in the month of July.

And it will then worship in St Andrew’s Church at 10am in the month of August.

Holy communion will be celebrated on Sunday, September 1, in St Andrew’s Parish Church at 10am.

The Sporting Memories group will meet on Wednesday, July 17, at 7.30pm in the small hall within Livingston­e Memorial Church. Contact Iain Mcmillan on 01698 823325/07847 875546 for more informatio­n. All welcome to attend

The foodbank is experienci­ng low stocks, so any donations would be greatly appreciate­d. A box is situated in the vestibule for donations.

Brew ‘n’ Blether meet every Thursday between 10.30am and noon in the church hall. Everyone will be made most welcome if they pop in for a cuppa and a wee blether.

HAMILTON OLD PARISH CHURCH

The service this Sunday, July 7, is at 10.45am when Rev Norman Mckee will lead the church in worship.

A creche will be available over in the halls for younger members during the service.

DALSERF CHURCH

Sunday worship on July 7 will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am. The service will be conducted by Rev John Stevenson.

On Saturday, tea will be served in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf Village, from noon to 4pm. This will happen every Saturday until August 31. Come along and enjoy good food, good company and Christian fellowship.

HAMILTON SOUTH PARISH CHURCH

The locum, Lynette Jardine, will conduct the service on Sunday at 11.15am.

The Sunday school will meet during the service and tea, coffee etc will be available after it. The evening service is at 6.30pm.

The prayer group will meet on Monday at 6.30pm.

The Wednesday fellowship is at 9.30am, followed by the coffee shop at 10am and the community nearly new shop at 11.15am.

And the church is having a summer fair on Saturday, August 10. Tables can be booked for this event via any of the fundraisin­g committee.

Bobby Jenkins had a very successful open garden event in aid of Maggie’s Centre.

HAMILTON UNITED REFORMED CHURCH

On Sunday, July 7, the service will begin at 11.30am and will be led by Rev Gordon Smith, retired minister of United Reformed Church.

Refreshmen­ts will be served in the hall afterwards and a warm welcome will be given to all.

QUARTER PARISH CHURCH

Sunday worship will be led by Lynette Jardine at the usual time of 9.45am, please come along and join the congregati­on.

There will be a welcoming cup of tea after the service.

GILMOUR AND WHITEHILL CHURCH

On Sunday, July 7, the church will unite with their linked congregati­on in Hamilton West when locum John Nicolson will conduct worship at 10.45am.

The coffee lounge is now closed and will reopen on Monday, August 5.

Although the church building is closed, the work of the church goes on.

ST JOHN’S CHURCH, HAMILTON

Morning Worship at St John’s Church, Hamilton, will be held at 10.30am each Sunday during the months of July and August, and a short sundown service will be held at 8.30pm.

Time to Worship will be held on Sunday, July 7, at 10.30am.

The monthly service at Avonbridge Care Home will be held at 2pm and the sundown service will be at 8.30pm.

Sing with Swing Choir will meet on Saturday, July 6, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Anyone who is interested is very welcome to come along.

St John’s Centre will re-open on Monday, August 19.

CADZOW PARISH CHURCH

The summer services at Cadzow Parish Church, Woodside Walk, Hamilton, continue at 10am on Sunday, July 7, with the monthly rock ‘n’ roll service in the large hall.

This is a relaxed form of worship suitable for all ages, when you can sing along with the praise band.

Stay and have breakfast of cereals, rolls and bacon or sausage, tea, coffee and juice. Breakfast is a pay-as-you-wish event and everyone is most welcome to come along.

The services on July 14, 21 and 28 are at 10am in the sanctuary. Again, everyone is welcome and tea, coffee and biscuits will be available in the large hall immediatel­y after the service.
