Fun for all the family at races

-

There’s something for everyone at Hamilton Park Racecourse’s fun-filled Family Racenight on Saturday.

The Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation Family Racenight will feature a special performance by talented X Factor star Scarlett Lee, and tribute band Little Mix Magic.

Capital Scotland DJ Garry Spence will then top off the night with a set of classic music mixes.

Before the live music, Hamilton Park will host their famous kids’ fancy dress competition, which was won last year by the cast of Still Game.

The competition is open to all under-18s and there is £250 cash up for grabs for the winner.

As always, there will be a huge selection of free kids’ activities to keep both the little ones and big kids entertained.

The impressive list includes Segways, face painting, bungee run basketball, virtual reality gaming, plus much more – and they’re all included in the price of admission.

Ashley Moon, racecourse general manager at Hamilton Park, said: “Our family race meetings are always hugely popular and are a fantastic day out for all.

“We offer free admission to under-18s at all of our fixtures and our family race meetings also include all of the fun kids’ activities and racing-themed activity packs too, making them even better value for money for families.”

On the track there will be seven races, with the highlight of the night being the £14,000 Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation Handicap Stakes.

Gates and free kids’ activities open at 4pm, with racing starting at 6.05pm.

Tickets are priced from just £20 when booked in advance, with free entry for under-18s.
