St ninian’s church

The church holds prayers every Monday and Thursday at 9.15am and while it does not meet for prayers during July, this week it asks that you hold members in Glassford in your prayers.

The Paterson Church Coffee Morning is every Tuesday, 10am-11.30am in the church hall.

Book Group meet on Sunday, July 21, at 7.30pm. The book for this month is Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly.

The Holiday Club will take place in the church hall on Monday, August 5, Wednesday, August 7, and Friday, August 9. The leaders are in need of help, and it doesn’t matter your age, sex or agility, they will find you something to do. Please contact May Fairley if you can help.

On Wednesday, August 7, the church hopes to bring along some of the teenagers in the congregation so you can join in the fun. If you would like to go along, please give your name to Margaret Macgregor. Coffee and biscuits will be served, and if you need a lift, just let us know.

The Guild trip will be going to St Andrews on Saturday, September 7. Cost for members is £18, non-guild members £20, including high tea at Crail. If you would like to go, please speak to Joyce Millar, deposit £10.

And the church is sorry to say that Jim Mcquade passed away on Wednesday. Jim was a faithful member of the church and was an elder. Jim’s funeral service will take place at St Ninian’s on Saturday, July 20, at 10am, then to the Glebe and back to the church hall.

The church’s thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this time.
