Country music stars Raintown and Katee Kross and the Amberjax are set to make a pitstop in Lanarkshir­e next month on the back of two successful European tours.

The bands will bring their highly acclaimed live shows to the East Kilbride Village Theatre on Saturday, August 17.

Raintown fuse a passion for Country music with their eclectic musical influences and continue the tradition of exciting new music to emerge from Scotland.

Their electrifyi­ng live performanc­es and well-crafted songs have elevated this impressive duo to new heights and cemented their place as one of the UK’S leading‘new breed’of Country acts. They will be exclusivel­y showcasing brand new material at this special East Kilbride show.

With 16 awards and two critically acclaimed albums in just five years, this Glasgow-based duo deliver bright, uptempo guitar-led Americana and contempora­ry Country pop-rock all arranged around superb harmonies and the duo’s trademark back and forth vocals.

Twenty-two year old Katee Kross is one of the fastest rising stars on the rapidly growing UK Country scene.

The Glasgow native has already gained an impressive live CV performing at Wembley Arena, SSE Hydro and the world famous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, working with such diverse artists as Seasick Steve, Dougie Maclean, Barbara Dickson, James Grant and Findlay Napier.

With a career that has already seen the release of three self-penned albums, Katee has progressed beautifull­y as a young artist and maturing songwriter.

Along with her fantastic band, The Amberjax, Katee recently headlined the Country on the Clyde weekend and in 2018 appeared at 11 festivals across the UK. This year Katee will host the Open Mic Stage for the second year at Dougie Maclean’s Amberfest.
