HAMILTON BAPTIST CHURCH

The services on Sunday, July 27, at 10.45am and 6.30pm will be led by the Youth Pastor, Jonathan Davie. The morning service will be followed by light refreshmen­ts in the church halls.

After the morning service, two members of the congregati­on will be available to pray with anyone feeling the need of prayer.

DALSERF CHURCH

Sunday Worship on July 28, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am. The service will be conducted by Reverend John Stevenson.

On Saturday our teas take place in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf village from noon – 4pm. We will meet every Saturday until August 31. Come along and join us and enjoy good food, good company and Christian fellowship.

ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, UDDINGSTON

Masses and services from the parish are available on the web. Go to www. saintjohnb­aptist.org and click on the box that says ‘church web cam’.

People on the web from all over the world join the services from the church every day, so why not have a look especially if you are housebound for any reason. You will be welcomed by Fr Towey at the beginning of each service.

On Monday, the Padre Pio Prayer Group meet after the 9.30am mass and a silent prayer vigil for life is held from 8pm to 9pm.

The SVDP meet at 5.30pm on Tuesdays and the RCIA continues at 7.30pm in the small hall.

On Wednesdays a divine mercy hour begins at 7pm in the oratory and a prayer and praise group runs from 8pm to 9pm.

The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays 10am-7pm.

Church cleaning is on Friday mornings after mass if anyone would like to help. Tea is served

Sunday Masses: Vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm.

Weekday mass: 9.30am. Rosary : 9.10am daily. Confession­s: Saturday 9.00 to 9.25am and after vigil mass.

BLANTYRE LIVINGSTON­E MEMORIAL PARISH CHURCH

The church will worship with St Andrew’s Congregati­on in Livingston­e Memorial Church at 10am in the month of July.

It will then worship in St Andrew’s Church at 10am in the month of August.

And the church will then celebrate Holy Communion on Sunday, September 1, in St Andrew’s Parish Church at 10am.

The Sporting Memories group will meet on Wednesday, August 14, at 7.30pm in the small hall within Livingston­e Memorial Church. Contact Iain Mcmillan on 01698 823325/07847 875546 for more informatio­n. All welcome to attend

The foodbank is experienci­ng low stocks and any donations would be greatly appreciate­d. A box is situated in the vestibule for donations.

Brew ‘n’ Blether continues to meet every Thursday between 10.30am and noon in the church hall. Pop along for a cuppa and a wee blether. Everyone will be made most welcome.

HAMILTON OLD PARISH CHURCH

Our service this Sunday, July 28, is at 10.45am with worship being conducted by Rev Ross Blackman. Creche available for our younger members during the service. Due to the continuing work in the halls there will be no tea or coffee after the service.

DALSERF CHURCH

Dates for your diary: Drama Kirk presents a dramatized walk, bringing to life Moses and the Israelites wandering the desert in an exciting journey.

You will walk with some well-known bible characters and see dramatisat­ions of temptation­s, trials and miracles.

The walk is less than a mile and the event will last an hour, but does include one steep incline. It takes place on Saturday, August 10, in Chatelhera­ult Country Park at 10am, noon and 3pm. Tickets are free. On Saturday, teas will be served in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf Village, from noon to 4pm, meeting every Saturday until August 31. Come along and join us and enjoy good food, good company and Christian fellowship.

HAMILTON SOUTH PARISH CHURCH

Reverend Joy Codona will conduct the service on Sunday at 11.15am. The Sunday School will meet during the service and tea, coffee etc, will be available after the service.

Our summer fair is on Saturday, August 10, and donations are required for the tombola and baking stalls. Anyone wishing to help should see Margaret Wilson. And the church is once again organising a back to school bank and would be grateful for school uniforms which can be passed on to various local schools for use.

It would be appreciate­d if the uniforms are of a good standard. Please contact Joanne Kennedy, the session clerk.

The uniformed organisati­ons are now recess, in line with the school holidays.

The Wednesday Fellowship is at 9.30am, followed by the coffee shop at 10am and the popular nearly new shop at 11.30am. Call in for a browse and a blether over a cup of tea or coffee.

ST JOHN’S CHURCH, HAMILTON

Summer morning worship will be led by Rev Dr Rhona Dunphy at St John’s Church Hamilton at 10.30am on Sunday, July 28. Children’s activities have been arranged. Sundown service will be held at 8.30pm. All will be made most welcome at either service. Mission Rescue Holiday for 5-12 year olds will be held at Hamilton Old Parish Church from Monday, July 5, to Friday, August 9, 9.30am to 12.30pm. Please come along and enjoy games, Bible stories quizzes etc. Leaflets are available in the forum.

Messy Church - A Home for All - will be held at St John’s Church on Saturday, August 10, 10.30am to 12.30pm. All children must be accompanie­d by an adult. Hamilton Old Parish Church Mission Rescue Holiday Club, for children aged five to 12, will be held from Monday, August 5, to Friday, August 9, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Leaflets are available in the forum. Messy Church’s A Home for All will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. All children must accompanie­d by an adult. The centre is closed for the summer and will re-open on Monday, August 19, at 10am.

QUARTER PARISH CHURCH

On Sunday our morning worship will be led by Joy Cadona at the usual time of 9.45am. Please come along and join us in worship.

HAMILTON WEST PARISH CHURCH

Our next service will be on Sunday, July 28, at 10.45am and it will be led by John Nicolson Reader this is a joint service with our linked partners Gilmour and Whitehill. This will be the last early service at the West starting from Sunday, August 4, and for the rest of the month of August all services will be held at Gilmour and Whitehill at 10.45am to which all are invited to come along to.

HAMILTON WEST

There are still two tables for hire at a cost of £20 per table. Our session clerk Joanne Kennedy is collecting school uniforms in good condition for distributi­on to local schools. Donations of these can be left at the front or rear of the church.

The final total raised for Maggie’s Centre by Bobby Jenkins opening his garden is £500.

GILMOUR AND WHITEHILL CHURCH

During July we have enjoyed united services with our friends in our linked charge, Hamilton West. This Sunday John Nicolson, our locum, will conduct worship at 10.45am when all will be made welcome.

From Sunday, August 4, until August 25, united services will be held in Gilmour and Whitehill and we look forward to welcoming members of our own congregati­on plus our friends from Hamilton West and any visitors who wish to come along to share in our worship and fellowship. Tea and coffee will be served after the service giving time to catch up with each other. The coffee lounge reopens on Monday, August 5, at 10am why not drop in for a cuppa and chat.
