Larkhalland Districtvolunteer Group

-

LDVG lunch clubs started back this week at our premises in Victoria Street. These operate on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week and offer a two course meal including tea/coffee for a cost of £3.25.

New members are welcome to join us on any or all of these days to enjoy good company, a nice meal and a game or two of cards or bingo if you feel inclined.

If you are unable to make your own way here, you can book a space on our transport service at a cost of £1.50 for the return journey (in Larkhall only and depending on availability). Lunches have to be booked in advance and Jayne will be happy to help with your enquiries.

Lunch clubs are also held in other locations around Larkhall and will be starting back at the end of the school holidays. Further information on enquiry.

We are looking for volunteer drivers who would be available in the evenings or at the weekend to drive our wheelchair friendly mini buses.

Our community transport is receiving more and more enquiries for community group outings taking place at the weekends and as most of our current drivers are busy all week with our own groups, we are looking for weekend drivers to help us out.

Is this something you could do? Volunteers are paid out of pocket expenses and are able to accept or refuse any requests depending on their availability.

Volunteering is a very rewarding experience and anyone interested in helping in any area of our services would be most welcome.

To volunteer or use any of our services, please phone on 01698 888893 or email admin@ldvg.org.uk Check out our Facebook page to find out what’s going on. We look forward to hearing from you.
