ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH, UDDINGSTON

-

The relics of St Therese of Lisieux will be at Carfin Grotto from Friday, August 30, to Sunday, September 1. A copy of the schedule is available in the church.

The RCIA process started with an enquiry night on Tuesday, August 27, at 7.30pm in the small hall but it’s not too late to come along and join on Tuesday evenings to find out more about the Catholic faith.

All couples marrying in the Catholic church must have a period of preparation. This year the free Marriage Preparation Course will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 15 and 22 at 7.30pm in the hall. Couples must attend all three evenings or make arrangements for a course elsewhere.

Masses and services from the parish are available on the web. Go to www. saintjohnbaptist.org and click on the box that says ‘church web cam’.

People on the web from all over the world join the services daily, so why not have a look, especially if you are housebound for any reason.

You are welcomed daily by Fr Towey at the beginning of each service and are remembered in prayers.

On Wednesdays a divine mercy group meet at 7.30pm in the oratory and a prayer and praise group meet from 8pm-9pm. The AA meeting is at 8pm in the hall.

The prayer garden is open Mondays to Saturdays, 10am-7pm.
