Liam added: “Places like this foodbank and the Blue Triangle Housing Association are just two examples of places that benefit from the bread-making, and I and all those who were there at the open day can attest to how good it tastes.

“It also shows perfectly the beauty of the Unpaid Work Service in that how so many different people can benefit, including those who are undertaking the Community Payback Orders themselves who learn skills they had probably never even thought about before, skills that they can then take into their lives that can hopefully help them to find a new path.

“It is not just the learning of the new skills, though: unpaid work also gives some people the opportunity to experience any sort of working life at all for the first time, giving them the confidence to look for work and helping them to avoid offending in the future.” M&D’S Theme Park’s Halloween Drive-in Movies is back for another year with some great horror films.

Shaun of the Dead, A Quiet Place, The Hills Have Eyes, Scary Movie, The Babadook, Jigsaw and The Ring, as well as family favourite Monster House, are set to be screened through the month of October.

The eight movies will be screened throughout the Halloween weekend from October 25 to 27.

And Outbreak has returned with Gateway to Hell. It will run every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Thursday, September 26, finishing on Saturday, November 2.

Back for its third year, Darktober will give fearfollowers the chance to take a ride on even more of the park’s rides, in the dark from 6pm, as part of the Outbreak experience.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’S Theme Park, said: “Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year, and we’ve expanded our offering even more again this year.”
