Politician shops local this Xmas
Central Scotland MSP Monica Lennon supported Hamilton town centre by shopping there for Christmas.
Ms Lennon backed town traders as part of Small Business Saturday on December 7.
Now in its seventh year, the event encouraged residents across Lanarkshire to “shop small” and support the contribution of entrepreneurs and small firms.
Ms Lennon said: “I enjoyed getting my Christmas shopping under way at Ollybear Childrenswear in Hamilton, and making a special effort to back our local small shops and independent businesses on Small Business Saturday.
“The incredible contribution small businesses make to the economy and local community is worth celebrating year-round. I want to ensure the longterm success of our town-trader heroes.”
