Hamilton’s animal rescue centre is looking for donations of Easter eggs from the public.

The Scottish SPCA’S base on Bothwell Road are holding an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 5.

And staff are planning a variety of activities for all the family.

Assistant manager of the centre, Claire Aiton, said:“we’re hoping to hold this event as a way to give back to the community and say thank you for all they do for us.

“We’ve already received an extremely generous donation from Tesco in Bellshill, which was organised by Margaret Bulloch, one of our long-term supporters.

“We’re very thankful for the donations we’ve received so far, but we’d love to have enough eggs to make the hunt as big as possible.”

And she added:“we’re looking for chocolate eggs of all sizes and would also love some‘free from’eggs so everyone can join in on the day.”

You can drop Easter eggs off at the animal charity’s Bothwell Road centre between 10am and 4pm any day of the week.
