Walk this way to enjoy a healthy pursuit
The monthly health walks from the David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre are starting again in April.
They will set off at 10am every second Saturday of the month.
Dates for 2020 are April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14 and December 12.
The walks last no longer than an hour and avoid tricky terrain. They are suitable for people of all abilities, ages and fitness levels.
Following paths and pavements in and around Blantyre and Bothwell, participants can enjoy some gentle exercise in the company of others with the added bonus of friendly chat, fresh air and lovely scenery.
There is no need to book, just turn era, and a well-known figure in some Subsaharan African countries to this day.
The museum is scheduled to re-open in 2020. More details can be found at www.davidlivingstonebirthplace.com.
Tickets are on sale now for the Edinburgh event at £9/13 at www. summerhall.co.uk. up. Participants are asked to please wear suitable shoes and dress for the weather conditions on the day.
