Guidance is issued for being outside

- with inspector Rogerbond

Police Scotland will continue to maintain a positive relationship with the public as we continue in Phase 1 of the COVID-19 distancing guidance.

You can take part in outdoor recreation alone or with members of your household and/or members of one other household at a time, providing that physical distancing of at least two metres is maintained between the different households at all times.

If people from two households are meeting, you should meet in small numbers – no more than eight people in total at a time.

You should not meet people from more than one other household each day.

Meeting outdoors with members of more than one other household at a time is not permitted.

If you are going outside, ideally stay within five miles of your home address.

With the good weather we are experiencing, increased numbers of large groups, particularly teenagers, are attending local beauty spots and not socially distancing. Please remember it is possible to have COVID-19 yet have no symptoms at all, particularly in the younger age groups.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, May 27, a female was arrested for allegedly shouting and swearing at police and refusing to desist in the Burnbank area.

Upon her arrest she was allegedly found to be in possession of controlled drugs.

During the early hours of Sunday, May 31, within an address in Burnbank, a 24-year-old male was arrested in relation to an alleged serious assault on a 19-yearold male with an axe.

If you have any relevant information or matters you feel should be reported to the police, you can do so by calling 101, or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Do not call 101 or 999 for guidance on COVID-19. Public health advice can be found at: Coronavirus (COVID-19) on NHS Inform.
