-

Police Scotland will continue to maintain a positive relationship with the public as we continue in Phase 1 of the COVID-19 lockdown exit plan and guidance.

People are now permitted to leave home for the following reasons:

■ Meeting people from one other household outdoors, no more than eight people in total;

■ Taking part in non-contact recreation activity;

■ Accessing recycling or waste disposal services;

■ In addition, garden centres and plant nurseries were permitted to reopen from May 29.

■ If you are going outside, it is suggested you don’t travel more than five miles from your home address.

Police Scotland will continue to work together to ensure that no person or group in Scotland feels marginalised or isolated.

On Wednesday June 3, as a result of increased nightshift patrols a 28-yearold disqualified driver from Bellshill allegedly failed to stop when required by police and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit was brought safely to an end and the driver was charged with various road traffic offences. The 26-year-old passenger was allegedly found to be in possession of a bladed article and a quantity of class A drugs. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

On Friday, June 5, a search warrant was executed at an address in Low Waters Road, whereby a large quantity of bladed articles and cross bow darts were seized from the locus. Two males were also allegedly found to be in possession of class C drugs. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
