Newmains launch ticket scheme

-

Newmains United have launched a Seasontickettakeaway pass which they hope will help local businesses too, writes Ruth Clarkson.

Thevictoria Park side have teamed up with six firms in the area to produce the innovative idea for thewest of Scotland League campaign.

As well as the £30 brief giving entry into all home games when fans are allowed in, supporters can get special deals on curries, hot drinks, morning rolls, pizzas, haircuts and kitchens.

It means the price of the ticket could pay for itself between now and the end of the season.

Co-manager Craig Gupwell admits the club were keen to get involved to try to boost the local economy as the pandemic continues.

He said:“we realised this wasn’t a time when we could go looking for additional sponsors.

“We wanted to produce something which would help both ourselves and businesses nearby.the uptake has been superb and we’re really grateful to everyone who has got involved.

“With so many people facing tough times it would be great if these deals can help increase footfall through the doors so everyone benefits as a whole.”

Showing your pass will get you 10 per cent off takeaways atthe Pinkturban, one free hot drink with any morning roll at Lavena Caffe, one free morning roll at Clems Foodto Go, a free haircut attopp Barbers, a free 10 inch pizza with one topping when you buy a 16 inch pizza at Franco’s Newmains and a free LED mirror with any full bathroom refit at E&LWET Wall Kitchens & Bathrooms Airdrie.
