- LEONA GREENAN

A Blantyre family have once again gone the egg-stra mile for their community by setting up a fun Easter display in their garden.

Michelle Campaigne and her two grown-up daughters Emma and Lauren are delighting Lanarkshire locals with their inflatable Easter bunnies and eggs-ellent spring-themed exhibit.

The family, of Heathcliffe Avenue, officially set up their Eastertide at the start of the month to ensure children and adults alike enjoyed their display.

Their impressive efforts includes bunting, plaques, flowers, spring-themed wreaths and painted eggs as per the Easter tradition of decorating a hard-boiled egg shell prior to rolling it down a hill.

Mum Michelle was delighted to once again decorate her property, telling the Advertiser: “Myself, Emma and Lauren love Easter, Hallowe’en, Christmas and so on as it gives us the chance to fully decorate our house and garden for each of the holidays.

“Every year we try and mix it up a little and we may also add a few extra decorations from the year before.

“After this we’ll put our heads together for our next display!”

Michelle, Emma and Lauren work together every year to come up with their holiday displays and relish watching people stop by on foot and in their cars to see their garden.

The family are well known in the area for their love of outdoor decorations and fill their garden with lights and characters at every opportunity.

Michelle added:“it’s just lovely to watch so many people get so much joy from our displays.

“To see the smiles on kids’ faces when they pass the house is lovely.”
