Big cof­fee morn­ing dates for your di­ary

THE an­nual Macmil­lan Can­cer Support World’s Big­gest Cof­fee Morn­ing takes place next week, with events on var­i­ous dates.

HARE­FIELD: Fri­day, Septem­ber 26, 9.30am-noon. A group of child­min­ders in­vite you to the Park Lane Vil­lage Cen­tre, next to the li­brary in Park Lane. Staff and pub­lic are bak­ing cakes and bring­ing in tea, cof­fee and bis­cuits for ev­ery­one to en­joy. Raf­fle, spe­cial cakes for chil­dren, and ‘stay and play’, with toys and equip­ment avail­able to use.

HAR­MONDSWORTH: A break­fast ba­con ‘butty’ on of­fer as well as tea, cof­fee and cakes at Asquith Heathrow Day Nurs­ery in Har­mondsworth on Septem­ber 25. The High Street nurs­ery will be serv­ing re­fresh­ments from 8am-1pm. Chil­dren will be dec­o­rat­ing bis­cuits to sell and pay­ing a do­na­tion to dress up for the day.

ICK­EN­HAM: Fri­day, Septem­ber 26, from 11am. There will be cof­fee, tea and cakes for sale at the In­no­vate Cen­tre at Way­far­ers Ten­nis Club in Swake­leys Drive, Ick­en­ham. En­ter­tainer ‘Elvis’ will per­form and an ice cream van will pay a visit too.

EASTCOTE: ‘Funny face’ cakes fea­ture at the Eastcote Methodist Church World’s Big­gest Cof­fee Morn­ing on Satur­day, Septem­ber 27. 10am-noon, cof­fee, tea and cakes – with a funny face theme – will be on sale at the church in Pamela Gar­dens. You can bring your own cake, and the

en­tries will be pho­tographed and tweeted to Macmil­lan Can­cer Support HQ for judg­ing. Or tweet your en­try to Fearne @fer­necot­ton with a photo of your cake marked #bake­my­face. There will also be a ‘cof­fee bean chal­lenge’ with a prize.
