Big coffee morning dates for your diary
THE annual Macmillan Cancer Support World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place next week, with events on various dates.
HAREFIELD: Friday, September 26, 9.30am-noon. A group of childminders invite you to the Park Lane Village Centre, next to the library in Park Lane. Staff and public are baking cakes and bringing in tea, coffee and biscuits for everyone to enjoy. Raffle, special cakes for children, and ‘stay and play’, with toys and equipment available to use.
HARMONDSWORTH: A breakfast bacon ‘butty’ on offer as well as tea, coffee and cakes at Asquith Heathrow Day Nursery in Harmondsworth on September 25. The High Street nursery will be serving refreshments from 8am-1pm. Children will be decorating biscuits to sell and paying a donation to dress up for the day.
ICKENHAM: Friday, September 26, from 11am. There will be coffee, tea and cakes for sale at the Innovate Centre at Wayfarers Tennis Club in Swakeleys Drive, Ickenham. Entertainer ‘Elvis’ will perform and an ice cream van will pay a visit too.
EASTCOTE: ‘Funny face’ cakes feature at the Eastcote Methodist Church World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Saturday, September 27. 10am-noon, coffee, tea and cakes – with a funny face theme – will be on sale at the church in Pamela Gardens. You can bring your own cake, and the
entries will be photographed and tweeted to Macmillan Cancer Support HQ for judging. Or tweet your entry to Fearne @fernecotton with a photo of your cake marked #bakemyface. There will also be a ‘coffee bean challenge’ with a prize.
