TEABAGS, toilet rolls, cauliflower... new car!
Mandeep Singh walked off with more than just his regular shopping when he visited his local supermarket.
Mr Singh, of Hayes, won the top prize of a brand new Kia Rio car from Tesco in Glencoe Road, Yeading, as part of the national competition The Big Tesco Match and Win.
The competition, which ran online and in Tesco stores across the country, gave customers the chance to win one of more than one million prizes by simply matching three symbols on a game card.
Top prizes included 20 Kia Rio cars and 20 holidays to Rio, as well as hundreds of digital and technology prizes and days out at attractions in the UK.
Mandeep said: “I am so pleased that I have won this prize. I never win anything! It has been a very exciting day and I have thoroughly enjoyed picking up my brand new car with my family.
“This competition has been great fun and I’m so glad that I entered.”
Store manager Robert Folly said: “We are delighted that one of our Yeading customers won the top prize and would like to congratulate all our winners.
“The competition created a great atmosphere in store and it has been fantastic to offer our customers the chance to win such fantastic prizes, just for shopping with us.”
