Fireworks are just the start…

Brunel’s display is on the up and up

- By Alan Hayes alan.hayes@trinitymirror.com

ALTHOUGH a couple of firework displays that were once a regular feature of the Hillingdon calendar are not running this year, there are still plenty to dazzle you across west London.

Arguably one of the best is at Brunel University, which has been growing in scale in recent years.

This year it is at the running track, to allow the university to offer even more entertainment, including a surf simulator and a winter market.

There will also be a wider selection of refreshments on sale, from burgers and chips to toffee apples and cakes.

Student volunteers will be acting as stewards and collecting donations for a range of charities. You can donate on the night by getting your face painted or having a go at one of the games, such as the Gladiator Joust or Bungee Run.

Tickets can be bought online (see below), on campus or in The Pavilions shopping centre in Uxbridge High Street on Saturday, October 25 and Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2.
