Christ­mas on track Fes­tive canal trip

HAR­LING­TON: Santa steams into town at the an­nual Har­ling­ton Lo­co­mo­tive So­ci­ety Christ­mas open day this week­end.

On Sun­day, De­cem­ber 14, from 11am to dusk, the so­ci­ety will be of­fer­ing rides on its steam and diesel trains through the two or­chards of its site in Har­ling­ton High Street.

A re­turn trip costs just 50p, and there will be hot mince pies and teas and cof­fees in the sea­son­ally dec­o­rated, warm club­house. HARE­FIELD: Join the Hilling­don Nar­row­boats As­so­ci­a­tion on a trip to see Santa along the Grand Union Canal.

The HNA is run­ning Santa Canal Trips ev­ery Satur­day and Sun­day up un­til Christ­mas, leav­ing from the Coy Carp in Cop­per­mill Lane. The round-trip lasts one hour 15 min­utes, with the last boat head­ing off at 5pm.
