Christmas on track Festive canal trip

HARLINGTON: Santa steams into town at the annual Harlington Locomotive Society Christmas open day this weekend.

On Sunday, December 14, from 11am to dusk, the society will be offering rides on its steam and diesel trains through the two orchards of its site in Harlington High Street.

A return trip costs just 50p, and there will be hot mince pies and teas and coffees in the seasonally decorated, warm clubhouse. HAREFIELD: Join the Hillingdon Narrowboats Association on a trip to see Santa along the Grand Union Canal.

The HNA is running Santa Canal Trips every Saturday and Sunday up until Christmas, leaving from the Coy Carp in Coppermill Lane. The round-trip lasts one hour 15 minutes, with the last boat heading off at 5pm.
