Jobs not hit by new ownership

AN INDEPENDENT company has been bought by a multi-billion-pound international firm.

Crescent Building Supplies is being integrated into the Buildbase division of Grafton Merchanting GB Ltd.

The acquisition will not affect jobs and there are no plans to close or expand any of the branches (in Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Ruislip and Maidenhead), although the stock range will be expanded at each.

The acquisition has increased the number of Buildbase branches it runs to 200.

Crescent’s revenue 2014 was £10.5million.
