Lorry jackknifes on M4

WEST DRAY­TON: A lorry jack­knifed on the M4, caus­ing rush hour tail­backs.

The HGV was trav­el­ling west­bound when it spun out of con­trol and ended up fac­ing on­com­ing traf­fic just past junc­tion four, at 8.30am on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 7.

One lane was closed un­til around 8.50am, when the white Mercedes lorry was re­moved.

Driv­ers faced tail­backs stretch­ing along Stock­ley Road.

A Met­ro­pol­i­tan Po­lice Ser­vice spokesman said no one was in­jured.
