Chowdhary treble settles United nerves

-

IQRA Chowdhary hit a hat-trick as Denham United Ladies U11s beat Bedwell Diamonds 5-2 on Saturday.

The girls (pictured) came out full of motivation and were quick to get on the scoresheet as Chowdhary got her first of the game, taking on a player and slotting it past the keeper.

Denham carried on pressing and Chowdhary’s second was not far behind. With a solo run down the left wing, she cut back in and struck the ball into the top left hand corner.

Fiona Barclay then had a free run down the right and set up the third goal of the game as she whipped the ball across the box, which was met by Abbie Barrett.

Bedwell did well to break through the Denham defence and get a goal back just before half-time, and in the second-half they had the momentum, getting another goal back.

But Chowdhary settled Denham’s nerves by completing her hat trick late on in the second half, before setting up the final goal after breaking down the right and feeding the ball to Barrett, who found the back of the net.
