Sex as­sault on pen­sioner

PO­LICE are hunt­ing a man in his 30s sus­pected of sex­u­ally as­sault­ing a woman in her 70s.

Of­fi­cers were called to Larch Cres­cent, in Yead­ing, at around 4.25pm on Thurs­day, Fe­bru­ary 12, fol­low­ing re­ports of a sex­ual as­sault. A he­li­copter was used in the search, but the sus­pect had fled by the time po­lice ar­rived. No ar­rests have been made.

Res­i­dents living nearby said the field back­ing on to Larch Cres­cent, Yead­ing Lane and Yead­ing Fork, near to Mid­dle­sex Scrap Met­als, was cor­doned off on Fri­day, with of­fi­cers stand­ing guard and a tent erected.

The sus­pect is de­scribed as a white man, aged in his 30s, 6ft tall and of medium build. He wore a grey track­suit top and black trousers.
