Bring a touch of Madness to the Treaty
GOING OUT Hughie’snewsviews&reviews Fella
YOU’VE heard of indie music right? And you’ve heard of skinhead music? But have you ever heard of ‘skindie’ music? You have now and one group who plays exactly what it says on that tin are Fella and they’ll be pounding the stage at The Crown and Treaty pub in Oxford Road, Uxbridge, on Friday. If you can imagine a London-based John Cooper Clarke (ask your dad who he is) set to the music of Madness, The Specials and all those late 70s, early 80s mod and ska revival lot, then you can get the gist of Fella.
Bright and cheery and sarcastic social commentary set to great music.

Supporting Fella are According To You. Now, according to me, According To You are are a ‘tuneful bunch with power riffs and hints of Jack Penate’s style here and there in the songwriting’.
That’s what I wrote about them almost a year ago this week. See if you agree at www.soundcloud. com/according-to-you
Faers, the fabulous Hillingdon five piece I was bigging up a weeks back, are in Birmingham this week.
I know it’s a mission, but if you’re feeling adventurous or if you have friends in The Midlands then Faers would relish the company for their gig on Saturday supporting Jaws at the Jubilee Club, 78 Digbeth High Street, Birmingham B5 6DY.
