Ogre blossomed into a beautiful lady

-

ONE of the ways we raise money to look after the animals in our care is by attending local shows and fetes and running Teddy Bear tombolas.

We have had a hectic time in May and June and desperately need to restock our supply of these soft toys ahead of the summer season.

Do you have any soft toys of the animal kind, large or small, that your kids (or you) no longer want but are good enough to put a smile on someone else’s face when they win it as a prize on our tombola?

If you do then we would be really pleased to see them and find them a new home. You can drop off your unwanted soft toys to any of our eight shops.

To find the address of the one nearest to you just visit our website at; www. rspca-middlesex.org.uk and select the ‘How to find us’ tab and click on the RSPCA logos shown on the map.

While on the subject of helping animals to find places to live we have a few feline residents who have been with us all too long and are longing for a place to call home.

Ogre is a beautiful young lady who came into our care at the end of the summer last year having been born in a garage. Thanks to the time and love given by her foster mum and ‘Bill’ the family cat, she has blossomed into an adorable little lady.

Ogre is best suited to adult owners or those with teenage children who are confident around cats.

She must have a garden to enjoy and ideally she will have a feline companion to share her life with, she just adores other cats and became strong friends with her foster mum’s other cat.

Fairy is a sweet girl who has had quite a harsh life living on the streets for some years, having several litters of kittens which she did a fab job of caring for and rearing, never with a permanent place of her own to call home.

She has taken a long while to learn to trust people and she can still be a bit standoffish when you first meet her at the cattery but she really is a friendly, affectionate little sole, who will thrive in a loving home with caring new owners.

Like Ogre, Fairy would best suit a home with adult owners or those with older children, just because we feel she may find young folk a bit too much to cope with.

If you feel you could be the right people to give Ogre or Fairy that home for life then pick the phone or hit the keyboard and get in touch. Call us on (020) 8966 9688 or email us at; info@ rspcamiddlesex.org.uk
