City part­ner first for so­lic­i­tor who rose through the ranks

RUIS­LIP res­i­dent Pavani Reddy has be­come the first Asian woman to be­come a man­ag­ing part­ner of a City of Lon­don Law firm.

Born in the Andhra Pradesh re­gion of In­dia, she qual­i­fied as an ad­vo­cate and came to the UK where she trans­ferred her qual­i­fi­ca­tion to that of an English so­lic­i­tor with Zai­walla & Co.

She rose through the ranks be­com­ing a Part­ner in 2005 and is now Man­ag­ing Part­ner for the com­pany.

Pavani heads up the lit­i­ga­tion team at the law firm, han­dling multi-mil­lion pound dis­putes in the Court of Ap­peal and Supreme Court. She was awarded the Gold Award for Woman of the Year (Asian Achiev­ers Awards, 2010) and the Glory of In­dia Award for her out­stand­ing per­for­mance in the le­gal field (2012).

She is mar­ried with a six-yearold son.
