Parent power to beat bag costs

MY son and daughter who go to Stockley Academy have recently

been informed that if they do not come to school with the ‘new’ school bag with a logo on it that they will be punished as if he/she has infringed any other part of the school uniform policy.

My daughter is in year 11 come September and my son in year 10.

I bought my daughter a Cambridge Satchel plain black bag for school last year in the half price sale which cost me £60 as it was becoming infuriating to keep buying bags. I find this absolutely ludicrous considering she only has roughly eight months left.

I would love to know what other parents think about this and if we could over-rule this as a community.
