Plan submitted for latest RAF site homes
DEVELOPERS St Modwen Homes have announced the latest tranche of their “transformation” of an Uxbridge former RAF site.
Between 75 and 85 homes are planned for a three acre plot at the St Andrew’s Park former air force base, which will include a range of homes from one-bed apartments to four bed family houses.
In total some 1,300 homes are expected to be built with individual plots being developed by Charles Church and Persimmon Homes. Around 160 homes have already been completed.
St Andrew’s Park has also already welcomed the new John Locke Academy school and work is under way to establish the 45acre public park.
A detailed planning application to build an office development which could deliver 1,000 jobs has also been submitted for approval.
The site is also home to the Battle of Britain Bunker which is commemorating its 75th anniversary, as well as being the location of the Grade 1 listed Hillingdon House which is currently on the market.
Rob Barton, Residential Land Director at St Modwen, said: “St Modwen Homes developing this latest plot builds on a series of major steps forward for St Andrew’s Park as a new community and a new place to live, work and relax.”
