Plan sub­mit­ted for latest RAF site homes

DE­VEL­OP­ERS St Mod­wen Homes have an­nounced the latest tranche of their “trans­for­ma­tion” of an Uxbridge for­mer RAF site.

Be­tween 75 and 85 homes are planned for a three acre plot at the St An­drew’s Park for­mer air force base, which will in­clude a range of homes from one-bed apart­ments to four bed fam­ily houses.

In to­tal some 1,300 homes are ex­pected to be built with in­di­vid­ual plots be­ing de­vel­oped by Charles Church and Per­sim­mon Homes. Around 160 homes have al­ready been com­pleted.

St An­drew’s Park has also al­ready wel­comed the new John Locke Academy school and work is un­der way to es­tab­lish the 45acre public park.

A de­tailed plan­ning ap­pli­ca­tion to build an of­fice de­vel­op­ment which could de­liver 1,000 jobs has also been sub­mit­ted for ap­proval.

The site is also home to the Bat­tle of Bri­tain Bunker which is com­mem­o­rat­ing its 75th an­niver­sary, as well as be­ing the lo­ca­tion of the Grade 1 listed Hilling­don House which is cur­rently on the mar­ket.

Rob Bar­ton, Residential Land Di­rec­tor at St Mod­wen, said: “St Mod­wen Homes de­vel­op­ing this latest plot builds on a se­ries of ma­jor steps for­ward for St An­drew’s Park as a new com­mu­nity and a new place to live, work and re­lax.”
