Hop to it and help our rabbits

-

HERE at the RSPCA Middlesex North West Branch we have several lovely female rabbits who would love a new home with a male rabbit as a friend for life.

Pookie, who is about three-and-a-half years old, was signed over to us as her owner moved house and was unable to take her with him. She is a friendly girl – she can be a little wriggly when handled, but otherwise she is easy going.

She has always lived as a single rabbit and doesn’t know what fun she has been missing, so now is the time for her to find a friend to share her days with.

We are looking for a home where she will have a neutered male companion to live with, lots of room in which to hop about and some great humans to take care of her.

Coffee Bean, who is about a year old came into our care after being found as a stray. Sadly we have been unable to trace her owners and so now we hope to find a new forever home for her with a friend for company.

Coffee Bean is a friendly rabbit and she is generally easily handled. She is best suited to life as an outdoor rabbit and we are looking for a place for her where she will have plenty of space to hop about, ideally where she will have the opportunity to have a run around a bunny-proof garden from time to time too.

She should also have a neutered male companion to share her new life with.

Velveteen, who is about eighteen months old, is looking for a new home, having been signed over to an inspector after being found living in a dirty, broken hutch with owners who couldn’t really care less if she stayed or went.

Despite everything Velveteen is a sweet rabbit, full of energy and mischief. She loves all this new found space in which she can explore and stretch her legs

Who can blame her after such a horrid existence previously?

She is friendly and will willingly come hopping over for a stroke, but she can be quite wriggly when picked up and held – she has also been known to nip or nibble clothes on occasion, so would be best suited to confident rabbit owners.

Velveteen would be happy living as either an indoor or outdoor rabbit.

Though at present she is living outside in a hutch, she seems equally confident and happy indoors, running around the living room and jumping on and off sofas.

Either way she is going to need the company of a handsome neutered male rabbit.
