Gypsy in need of an experienced owner

-

THE RSPCA Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor, Kingston, District is launching its Christmas appeal for desperately needed funds and we are looking for volunteers to deliver leaflets and ideas to swell the funds.

We had a good weekend at our homing centre. Seven cats went to loving homes finding their happily ever after. If you can find a space in your heart and home we have many cats looking for loving homes at this cold time of year when all they want is a warm lap to curl up on.

Gentle reminder to check your hutches as winter is here – help protect your outside pets from the cold weather.

Poor Gypsy’s world has been turned upside down, after losing her home and everyone she loves.

She is such a sweet girl who craves attention and loves cuddles – a real little lap dog. However, the five-year-old is a worrier and can get anxious and very vocal, particularly when left on her own. She will therefore need an experienced home with someone who is prepared to put in lots of time and effort to help her overcome her issues, including some work on house training.

Gypsy needs to be with someone who is at home most of the time and having lived with a dog before, she would probably enjoy the company of another calm and confident dog to show her the ropes. We will only consider homes for Gypsy in or very close to our branch area.

Do you have the experience, love, and patience to help re-build Gypsy’s world?

At the centre we have many guinea pigs that are now looking for a brand new start in life with a loving family.

These lovely guinea pigs need a secure and spacious accommodation providing both shelter and plenty of room to exercise they will need to be indoors to start with.

Please get in touch if you can offer any of these guinea pigs a perfect home and a lifelong commitment to their care – in return they will offer lots of love and fun.

Can you offer a forever home to our guinea pigs or rabbits?

If you think you can offer one of our animals a loving home then please call RSPCA Hillingdon Branch on 01895 833 417 or visit our website www. rspcahillingdonclinic.org. uk to download an application form.

We are still in desperate need of various sized cat scratching posts, newspapers and wood based cat litter. Any donations can make such a difference to the cats that come into our centre.

Fireworks are going off all around us and for animals it can be a very scary, sometimes dangerous time. We would strongly advise you to have your pets indoors before it gets dark. Close your windows and curtains, try and disguise the loud bangs by playing music and having the TV on, as well as giving your pets all the comfort they need. If you know this is not going to work and your pet becomes extremely anxious, please speak to your vet now, who will be able to advise you on medications that can help.

Have you ever considered volunteering? We urgently need volunteers to support us in our busy Hillingdon Shop. Contact us on fundraiser@rspca hillingdonclinic.org.uk.

Or maybe you fancy something a little more challenging, like walking on hot coals, running a marathon, mud assault course or bike ride.

Whatever it may be we will help you to achieve your goal to support us.

You may run or work for a business that would be keen to support a charity in the local community. Please consider us your local branch. We have a full diary of events for next year which will need to be sponsored.

Please help us to continue to provide the much needed animal welfare in the area.

Christmas is fast approaching and we have decided to open the Hillingdon shop on November 22 and 29 and December 6, 13 and 20, as well as opening until 9pm on Tuesday, November 24 and Tuesday, December 15.

Please pop along we have some great gift ideas.

Thank you for your support …. We can’t do it without you!
