Ger­aghty hits four as Ex­plor­ers claim tro­phy

Un­der-8s lift De­vel­op­ment Cup af­ter con­vinc­ing vic­tory YOUTH FOOT­BALL

WEST Dray­ton Ex­plor­ers U8s Blues are De­vel­op­ment Cup win­ners.

They beat SFK Ea­gles 6-2 in the fi­nal cour­tesy of four-goal Stan­ley Ger­aghty, Ma­son Spring and Jack Tay­lor.

Har­ri­son Naughton scored in a 1-1 draw for West Dray­ton Ex­plor­ers U7s Reds against Wind­sor Owls. That came af­ter a 5-0 loss to Burn­ham Mi­nors Reds.

The U9 Reds beat Town­mead 7-2 thanks to hat-trick hero Euan Hlubanyana, Char­lie Pe­nil, Joe Ros­siter, Tris­tan Villavru­sis and Ethan Cupido.

Ex­plor­ers’ U9 Blues were 5-0 win­ners over Thames Val­ley Whites. Christopher Bur­ton (2), Saif Mustafa (2) and KJ Teague hit the tar­get. Jay Fitzger­ald net­ted and Nico Mar­tucci starred for the U9 Pur­ples in a 4-1 loss to BJ Leop­ards.

Reece But­ler sent the U10s through to a cup fi­nal af­ter his goal sunk Burn­ham Ju­niors Reds in the semis. Cal­lum Gor­man was man of the match.

Mo­hamed Bah and Diogo Gon­calves were on tar­get as the U11s Blues beat Lon­don Tigers 4-2 while the U11s Reds lost 5-1 to Thames Val­ley, Ray Mur­ray scor­ing and Bobby Hart im­press­ing.

Amari Adams and Con­nor Gran­tham tried their best but could not stop the U12s go­ing down 3-1 to Burn­ham Ju­nior Reds.

Zak Gee (2), Char­lie Rogers (2), Em­manuel Mc­cal­mon, Harry Al­dred, Ka­mal Yusef, Zubair Naseri, Ted O’Brien and Adama Jarju fired the U15s to a 10-0 win over Seer Green.

Mean­while, classy Den­ham United Ladies U14s put four past Har­vesters with­out re­ply on Satur­day.

Alisha Ba­jwa, Niamh Reynolds, Mia Steven­son and Court­ney Wool­ley got the goals as United showed their clin­i­cal touch.

Tilly Wil­son also made an out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tion and Eden Roswell im­pressed off the bench to see Den­ham move up to third in the Herts League stand­ings.

Den­ham’s U15s were awarded a bye into the next round of the County Cup af­ter Hack­ney Youth failed to field a side at the week­end.

The U13s were nar­row 1-0 win­ners over Benego Tigers as Grace Nwoseh got the de­ci­sive strike. Katie Gavin worked tire­lessly and Ais­linn Raf­ferty showed good tech­nique.

Sa­van­nah Charles’ ex­cel­lent per­for­mance for the U12s was not enough to pre­vent a 4-1 de­feat to Broom­field Acad­emy.

Fiona Bar­clay had opened the scor­ing for Den­ham but Broom­field got them­selves or­gan­ised and re­sponded well to fall­ing be­hind as they turned the ta­bles to claim vic­tory.

Den­ham Ladies’ se­nior first­team lost 3-1 while the re­serves were 14-0 win­ners. Goals came from Elishia Allen (5), Alana Mari­aLazarus and Me­gan Payne with a brace each. Emma But­ler, Emma McCon­nell, Char­lie-Leigh, Dixon Rachel Black­burn and Tar­nishaNi­cole Chap­man also scored.

The se­nior de­vel­op­ment squad lost 1-0 to Head­stone Manor.

And else­where, Heathrow Youth were beaten 4-1 by Con­corde.

Pa­trick Evans scored and Zack Rogers was man of the match.

West Dray­ton Youth U9s beat Chiswick Youth 8-1. Liam Dines, Soroush Hafiz, Nazim Kalkan, Takunda Ma­faro, Tegh­bir Bains, Ge­orge Ire­land, Karim Guer­rag, Grace Gran­tham, Kai Cal­len­der and Har­keerat Singh all made an im­pact.

The U8s Blues main­tained their un­beaten run with an 11-4 win over Lon­don Tigers.
