‘Elegant’ office work starts in town centre
£30m construction to be completed in winter 2016
CRANES and construction workers are becoming a common site in Uxbridge town centre, as Aviva Investors gets to work on a £30million redevelopment.
The project, in Belmont Road, will create a 125,000sqft of offices, designed to suit one corporate occupier or let to multiple businesses.
After receiving planning consent in June 2015, the scheme is due for completion in early winter 2016.
Jon Ashcroft, director and head of the south east and regional offices at Aviva Investors, said: “We made the decision to redevelop Belmont, as we believe it will offer market leading office space once completed.
“This elegantly designed, high spec development is a true town centre location, being minutes away from Uxbridge tube station and yet equally well connected to Heathrow, the national motorway network and Central London.
“It will have the added bonus of substantial, onsite parking and large flexible floor plates.”
The development, where neighbours include Coca Cola and Xerox, is set to achieve a BREEAM excellence rating for energy efficiency.
It will include an additional fifth floor, two roof terraces and a full height atrium, as well as 171 secure basement car parking space and 116 cycle bays.
Hillingdon Council is actively encouraging investment in Uxbridge town centre.
A spokesperson said: “This is another great development in the town centre and will serve to support the growth of Uxbridge as a commercial centre as well as providing employment opportunities for local people.”
