Winter concert for Uxbridge Choral Society

A HILLINGDON councillor will take on four marathons in four days, running a total of over 100 miles for charity.

Jagjit Singh, a Labour Party councillor who represents the Yeading ward, has so far taken part in 182 marathons since 2004, covering all seven continents.

The 56-year-old runner’s personal best is 4 hours, 3 minutes and 39 seconds for one marathon.

His first attempt at running a gruelling four marathons in four days will kick off in Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, on Thursday, February 4 and will carry on through until Sunday February 7.

Cllr Singh said: “I ran three consecutiv­e marathons in October last year in Milton Keynes and it was difficult but a real achievemen­t for me. UXBRIDGE Choral Society will be holding its winter concert this Saturday (January 30) at 7.30pm.
