U15s cup final dreams shattered

-

KENNEDY Kithinji was the hat-trick hero for West Drayton Explorers U7s Blues at the weekend.

Kithinji plundered three in a 5-2 win over Maidenhead Warriors with Daniel Mickale completing the job with a brace.

Explorers U9 Blues lost 5-2 to Chalfont Saints despite goals from Christopher Burton and Ciaran West.

There was a good win for the U9s Reds as they beat Chalfont Saints United 7-1, with goals from Ehan Cupiudo (two), Jamie McCarthy, Charlie Penil, Khalil Orange, Tristan Villacrusis and DREAMS of a County Cup final were shattered for an understrength Denham United U15s Girls side on Sunday.

A Denham side hit by injury, sickness and unavailability were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur U16s in their semi-final after conceding two first half freak own goals.

Denham shuffled the pack at the break and improved in the second half, but in pushing forward they were caught out at Joe Rossiter. Man of the match went to Matthew Keane.

Natal Ermais netted three in a 6-0 triumph for the U9s Purples over Cippenham Zebras, Rokas Baltrusaitis, Senay Mahadere the back and conceded the decisive third goal against the run of play.

The girls gave their all and left nothing on the pitch against a high quality and well drilled side, and in a bruising encounter Denham more than held their own physically as well.

But the 12 months difference in age, player for player, is where Spurs shaded it. Gina Lee was voted Denham’s player of the match. and Nico Martucci getting the rest.

Five-star Jake Pickett and double goalscorer Reece Butler fired the U10s to a 7-1 win over Singh Sabba.

Mohammed Bah’s brace secured a 2-2 draw for the U11s Blues against Hanwell.

The Reds ended Thames Valley Youth’s excellent home form beating them 2-1 in a development cup match, goals from Thomas Hickey and Aiden Edwards.

The U12s were victorious in the League Cup quarter final against Holyport as David Grover and Amari Adams starred in a penalty shootout win.

Earlier in the week, the U15s hosted Norwegian team Droebak Frogn (pictured right) in an international friendly, with the game being played in a great spirit and Denham running out 6-0 winners.

Elsewhere, goals from Elishia Allen and Sarah Harrison saw the senior reserve team win 2-0 at Wealdstone, but the first team lost 3-0 at Luton and the U13s went down 4-0 to Bishops Stortford in the League Cup.

It was an awesome foursome for Ollie Hunt as he got four and Harry Ward got three in a 7-0 win for Sandgate Youth U7s over FC Stars.

Donny Field shone in a 4-1 win for the U8s over Chiswick Whites while the U9s beat Kingston Town Pioneers 6-2.

Sandgate’s U11s came back from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Chertsey Town Juniors and then beat Hillingdon Abbots 4-0.

Vinnie Osborne was man of the match in a 1-0 win for the U12s A against Totteridge.

Elsewhere, Harefield U11s came from behind to win 6-2 away at Chalfont.
