Whites make stunning second-half comeback
HAREFIELD U11s Whites showed they are made of stern stuff to claw victory from the jaws of defeat at the weekend.
The Hares went in 2-0 down at the break despite strong performances from George Purser, Sammy Knight and Mo Zachary before United turned the tables to win 5-4.
George Scott bagged a brace for Harefield’s U12s as they won 2-0 in their Thames Valley Development League Division Two clash with Slough Town Youth Rebels.
Hat-trick hero Tristan Villacrusis was the star as West Drayton Explorers U9s Reds enjoyed a Development Cup group match win over Phoenix OB. Villacrusis led the way with three and Ethan Cupido, Joe Rossiter and Charlie Penil added the rest in a comprehensive 6-1 victory.
West Drayton’s U9s Blues lost 3-1 at home to Boyne Hill Blade, with a goal from Alberto Rodriguez-Owens. Finn Murphy’s double and a Nico Martucci effort gave the U9s Purples a 3-3 draw with BJ Leopards Whites. Man of the match was Rokas Baltrusaitis
Harry Macfayden, Gabriel Dickson and Oiderio Brand goals, as well as a man of the match peformance from Dominic Goncalves, was not enough to prevent the U7s Reds losing 6-3 to Windsor Owls. Kennedy Kithinji and Hamza Namani scored in a 5-2 loss for the Blues at Golden Eagles.
Marcos Valero and Lenny Anene were on target as the U8s lost at home to BJ Whites while the U10s won 4-1 away to Burnham Yellows, with two from Hayden O’Toole and one apiece for Steeley Howell Burton and Ranvier. Josh Odell starred in the U11s Reds’ draw with Windsor Galaxy and Alfie Taylor, Jayden Blackwood and Armari Adams scored in a 3-2 win for the U12s at BJ Panthers Yellows.
Heathrow Youth U12s Beat West Drayton Youth 12-0 thanks to Lewis Jones (three) Frankie Major (two), Samuel Trim (two), Archie O’Sullivan, Harvey Brown, Finley Richardson, Jack Turner and Patrick Evans scored. Zack Rogers was star man.
