Penguins’ celebrate their maiden victory
HILLINGDON Penguins U13s Water Polo team are heading in the right direction after experiencing their first triumph.
Coaches Paul Bryan and Claudio Palumbo oversaw the fine maiden victory as they beat a team from Bexley at the Whitgift School, in Croydon.
Abelardo Cardenas, who worked tirelessly both in attack and defence, is shaping up to be an outstanding player and was integral to the club’s success.
Antonio Bardella also put in an eye-catching display while Ben Mason finally broke his duck and scored what is hopefully the first of many goals.
However, the whole team must take credit and Ramsey Hammoutene, Joshua Pan, Levi Malhi, Georgia Mouratidi, Abelardo Cardenas, Sean McHugh, Inesh Warnapala, Nikola Christov, Kushi Tamada and Maximilien Bruck all shone for the Penguins.
Now kitted out in new equipment, courtesy of Postcode Community Trust, the future looks bright for the Hillingdon youngsters as the club expands.
New players are being sought by the Penguins and you could be getting involved in this exciting sport if you are aged 10 to 18 and a competent swimmer capable of navigating deep water. The Penguins train every Saturday during school term time at Uxbridge Pool at the Hillingdon Sport & Leisure Complex.
