Take a positive look at Hayes Town

-

AS one of the six councillors responsible for Hayes Town I really think Mr Fagan could do with a reality check or perhaps just acknowledge that times and people change.

If he actually saw through all his obvious total negativity about the area he would know the following facts provided by the police about Hayes Town: residential burglary– down 50%; burglary in other buildings – down 44.4%; robbery – down 20%; theft from person – down 5.7%; violence with injury – down 23.7%.

Groups of young people hanging about does NOT constitute a gang, its just a group of mates hanging about and having a laugh and the last time I checked current legislation, laughing and having a joke wasn’t a criminal offence.

and yes there are problems we all agree, but working with the MP/ councillors/council/Hayes Town Partnership and of course with the Police, the problems are being resolved, but change doesn’t happen overnight.

Rubbish is reported and removed as soon as it is seen by the councillors, I am assuming Mr Fagan lets his local councillors and the police know of his concerns, and I am also sure they deal with them straight away once they are contacted or explain the reality to him.

Perhaps a shot of positivity is what is needed.
