Have fun at dog’s day

DOGS Trust Hare­field is invit­ing dog lovers and their four-legged­friends to join them for their an­nual Fun Day, with a ca­nine com­pe­ti­tion and fun for all ages.

Tak­ing place at the re-hom­ing cen­tre on Harvil Road, on Sun­day from 10.30am-4pm, the event prom­ises plenty of fun and games for ev­ery­one with the ever pop­u­lar fun dog show top­ping the bill.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes will have the chance to com­pete in a num­ber of cat­e­gories in­clud­ing ‘wag­gi­est tail’, ‘best res­cue dog’ and ‘cutest cross­breed’.

Other highlights in­clude have-a-go agility, chil­dren’s games and face-paint­ing, plus a tombola and raf­fle, with the chance to win some fan­tas­tic prizes.

There will also be a va­ri­ety of Dogs Trust mer­chan­dise to buy and de­li­cious re­fresh­ments to en­joy.

Sian Bourn, Dogs Trust Hare­field Sup­porter Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer, said: “We are de­lighted to be host­ing an­other an­nual fun day.

“It’s a fan­tas­tic op­por­tu­nity to meet lo­cal dog lovers and raise pounds for the hounds in our care.

“We are very much in need of do­na­tions for our grand raf­fle as well as bot­tles of wine, gift sets and prizes for our doggy tombola.

“If you have any items you would like to do­nate, please feel free to drop by the re-hom­ing cen­tre, all do­na­tions will be grate­fully re­ceived.”

En­try to the event is £3 per adult, £2 for chil­dren and OAPs.
