Police seek biker after sex attack on jogger

-

A FEMALE jogger was dragged to the ground in a ‘frightening and distressing’ sex attack in Iver.

Police have launched a hunt for the motorbike rider who attacked a 30-year-old woman along a canal at about 1pm on Sunday April 17 and have released an E-fit.

The victim was jogging along the southern side of the Grand Union Canal towards Cowley when she was passed by a man on a scrambler motorbike.

About five minutes later, as she was running between two bridges on the towpath opposite Farlows Lake near where the Colne Brook enters the canal, she saw him stopped ahead and as she ran past he grabbed her, pulled her to the ground and inappropriately touched her over her clothing.

She fought off her attacker but was injured and suffered a bloody nose, grazed right elbow, grazed right hip and cuts to both of her knees.

The man, pictured in the E-fit, is white, in his thirties, about 5ft 8ins tall, slim, with pale brown/dark blonde short hair and distinctive pale grey eyes.

He was wearing a light grey hooded top and dark grey baggy trousers. The scrambler motorbike had an ‘L’ plate on the rear. No other details about the vehicle are available.

Investigating officer, Det Con Lucie Roberts of Force CID in Aylesbury, said: “This was an extremely frightening and distressing incident. The victim saw two cyclists pass her at the same time as the motorcyclist at around 1pm, shortly before the incident.

“After the assault, the woman approached a fisherman on the canal side and used his phone to call police. We are keen to speak to the cyclists, fisherman or anyone else who may have any information.”

Call police on 101.
