Liars, damned liars and statistics

-

I RESENT being called a liar, I am sure that the nuns at the convent where I was educated will be hiding in their wimples at their dear Janet being accused of untruths!

He claims to live in a ‘non politically motivated world’, is this not the same Fagan who stood for UKIP at the last council elections?

He questions the police statistics I mentioned, perhaps he should bring that up with the Inspector for the area. I am sure he will be pleased to spell it out for him in finer detail.

Just to clarify, I have spoken to victims of crime on many, many occasions and as a resident of Hayes and Botwell for 30 years, myself and the other councillors for the area have spoken to groups of young people who hang about. Their response is ‘why don’t all these people who are meant to be scared actually speak to us?’

Go on Mr Fagan pluck up the courage and chat sensibly to young people.

Some may be up to no good, but that exists everywhere does it not?

Lots of problems exist in Hayes, 1, the landlords who make a fortune. 2, the housing developers who are building more housing without consideration for the local amenities needed. 3, the residents who dump rubbish on the footpath. 4, the lorries that drive over pavements and damage them. 5, the opportunist beggars, who incidentally are being arrested on a regular basis. 6, the street drinkers who are having their drink taken off them by the police and made to move on. (We have a team working in the area offering help to these unfortunate people).

I could go on but quite frankly I would rather not have Mr Fagan as some sort of pen pal via the Gazette letters page.

He could always talk to his other UKIP supporters Mr Dixon and his partner, who judging by her address has moved from Essex to his room on the Uxbridge Rd – Ms Gandy (e-EDL and now UKIP). CLLR JANET GARDNER Botwell Ward Councillor and Domestic Violence Victims’ Advocate
