Touchdown in London

-

BY October the summer may be starting to fade but the return of the NFL to London is sure to add some glitz and glamour to the early autumn gloom.

The big hitters of America’s favourite sport return to these shores for another three matchups, two at Wembley and one at Twickenham.

This will be the first year the home of English rugby will play host to the NFL in what is proving to be an increasingly popular trans-Atlantic import.

On Sunday October 2 the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars renew their AFC South rivalry at Wembley.

Andrew Luck and Blake Bortles will lead their respective offenses into what could be a high scoring shootout between talented young teams.

On Sunday October 23 the New York Giants and the LA Rams head to Twickenham where two of the league’s biggest stars Todd Gurley and Odell Beckham Jr will show off their talents.

Finally on Sunday October 30 the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals are set for rare showdown at Wembley.

Can Josh Norman slow down AJ Green? Will Geno Atkins torment Kirk Cousins?

With all the usual fan rallies and tailgates planned off the pitch the return of the NFL is sure to once again create a party atmosphere across the city.
