Supercars assemble at owners’ barbecue

-

A50 top of the range supercars made quite an impression when they rolled into Uxbridge for the annual Ferrari Owners’ Club barbecue on Saturday.

The luxury Ferraris set up camp at the GVE London supercar dealership, in Cowley Mill Road, between midday and 4pm.

Ferrari owners were treated to food, qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix on the big screen in the showroom, a miniracing simulator and ping -pong.

GVE’s founder and managing director David Rai said: “I’ve always loved being around cars. It’s a dream come true to see so many people in the showroom with their Ferraris – I just stood back and thought ‘I made this happen’.

“It’s made me really proud to be a part of it and share the moment with the Ferrari Owners’ Club.”

The club is the only official Ferrari owner’s club in the UK and its first BBQ was held last year.

Unfortunately for motor heads without their own Ferrari the event was a private affair, open only to members of the club.

But Uxbridge residents would still have been treated to all the sights and sounds of Italian engineering as they came and went throughout the day.
