STUDENTS from Uxbridge showcased their singing skills when they took to the stage at Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Pupils from Stagecoach Performing Arts Uxbridge were joined by 530 pupils from Stagecoach schools across the country to perform at the show entitled, ‘Celebrating Young Voices’.

They performed their piece ‘When You Believe’. The group were joined on stage on June 26 by 150 pupils from the Birmingham Schools’ Concert Orchestra and the North East Regional Choir and later sang ‘Season of Love’.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Uxbridge Principal, Rebecca Odedra says: “We are so proud of our students and their vocal ability was incredibly impressive. To hear their voices throughout the Birmingham Symphony Hall was mesmerising.’

“There are many benefits to singing in a group and performing in front of a large audience. Not only does it improve confidence, it is a good morale boost and to see the audience so captivated by their voices was wonderful.”
