20,000 litres of beer to enjoy

WITH two gigantic tankers full of beer, sausages and Brezel, the organizers of London Oktoberfes­t have made it to West London after a long journey from Germany.

From tomorrow until Sunday the German festival comes to Acton Green in Ealing offering five days of ‘fun, good food and giood mood’.

Setting up a huge marquee with a capacity of 1,500 seats, the organizers expect 10,000 guests to come and celebrate the 206th year of Oktoberfes­t. The beer has travelled from Bavaria to England in a gigantic tanker. It is a golden lager 5% ABV, brewed according to German Purity Law.

The Oktoberfes­t team hopes 20,000 litres of fresh beer is The Uxbridge Gazette Series enough to satisfy thirsty revelers. They also bring 13,000 German sausages including the beloved Bratwurst and 7,000 Brezel.

Staff will be dressed in traditiona­l Bavarian costume, Lederhosen and Dirndls.

Guests can rent one from a Gift Shop on site. There is an Oompa band performing live Schlager music every day. Event goers are promised an authentic Oktoberfes­t experience, just like in Munich.

Event director Carsten Raun said: “We look forward to partying with West London.”

Entrance is free on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and £10 on Friday and Saturday. There is an age limit of 18+ every day except Sunday.
