A THIRD man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Uxbridge town centre.

Two men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on the morning of Tuesday August 2, close to where a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the early hours of that day.

Police said a third man, aged 20, had later handed himself in at a west London police station.

All three men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have been bailed to a date in early September.

Police had been called to Uxbridge High Street at 3.49am to reports of a stabbing, and a man in his 20s later presented himself at a west London hospital with stab wounds.

He was transferred to a central London hospital, where police said he remained on Wednesday afternoon in a stable condition.

His injuries are not believed by police to be life-threatening or lifechanging.

Uxbridge High Street was closed on Tuesday, close to the junction with Vine Street, following the stabbing.

Officers from Hillingdon CID are investigating the incident and their enquiries are ongoing.

The latest knifing follows two fatal stabbings in west London in the space of three days.

A 48-year-old man died on Monday August 1 after being stabbed in Kilburn High Road.

On Sunday July 31, Sukhjinder Singh died after being stabbed in Southall the previous night.
