Su­per way to meet your hero and have some fun

CHIL­DREN en­joyed the first of a series of spe­cial DC Su­per Hero-in­spired visits when the caped cru­sader swooped into a shop­ping cen­tre.

Bat­man flew in to join the fun at intu Uxbridge on Fri­day Au­gust 5 when young shop­pers had the chance to meet one of their favourite su­per­heroes.

Bat­man ar­rived as part of the DC Su­per Hero takeover this sum­mer with Warner Bros. Con­sumer Prod­ucts, mak­ing a very spe­cial per­sonal ap­pear­ance on the day, greet­ing fans and tak­ing pic­tures with them.

There’s two more chances to meet of­fi­cial cos­tumed char­ac­ters as Won­der Woman flies in on Thurs­day be­fore Spi­der­man spins his web on the cen­tre on Fri­day Septem­ber 2.

intu Uxbridge is also in­spir­ing mem­bers of its kids club to ‘be a DC Su­per Hero this sum­mer’ by run­ning a series of Su­per Hero work­shops where ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude mak­ing su­per­hero ac­ces­sories, learn­ing su­per­hero skills and dress­ing up fun. And they can take part in DC Su­per Hero mis­sions of their own by track­ing down Su­per-Vil­lains like The Joker and The Pen­guin who will be hid­den in each cen­tre.

Natasha House, Mar­ket­ing Man­ager at intu Uxbridge said: “What fun it was to have Bat­man join us last week! We’re ex­cited to bring fam­i­lies in Uxbridge the world’s best known Su­per He­roes this sum­mer, of­fer­ing free DC Su­per Hero-in­spired en­ter­tain­ment that is cer­tain to put a smile on the face of all our cus­tomers.

“Our selec­tion of fan­tas­tic ac­tiv­i­ties, events and DC Su­per Hero cos­tume char­ac­ter meet and greets dur­ing the hol­i­days that will make sure chil­dren leave intu Uxbridge even more of a Su­per Hero than when they came in.”

intu’s DC Su­per Hero sum­mer lasts un­til 2nd Septem­ber.
