Super way to meet your hero and have some fun

-

CHILDREN enjoyed the first of a series of special DC Super Hero-inspired visits when the caped crusader swooped into a shopping centre.

Batman flew in to join the fun at intu Uxbridge on Friday August 5 when young shoppers had the chance to meet one of their favourite superheroes.

Batman arrived as part of the DC Super Hero takeover this summer with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, making a very special personal appearance on the day, greeting fans and taking pictures with them.

There’s two more chances to meet official costumed characters as Wonder Woman flies in on Thursday before Spiderman spins his web on the centre on Friday September 2.

intu Uxbridge is also inspiring members of its kids club to ‘be a DC Super Hero this summer’ by running a series of Super Hero workshops where activities include making superhero accessories, learning superhero skills and dressing up fun. And they can take part in DC Super Hero missions of their own by tracking down Super-Villains like The Joker and The Penguin who will be hidden in each centre.

Natasha House, Marketing Manager at intu Uxbridge said: “What fun it was to have Batman join us last week! We’re excited to bring families in Uxbridge the world’s best known Super Heroes this summer, offering free DC Super Hero-inspired entertainment that is certain to put a smile on the face of all our customers.

“Our selection of fantastic activities, events and DC Super Hero costume character meet and greets during the holidays that will make sure children leave intu Uxbridge even more of a Super Hero than when they came in.”

intu’s DC Super Hero summer lasts until 2nd September.
