Stu­dent art set to go on dis­play

ART­WORK by stu­dents from Uxbridge Art Col­lege is set to go on dis­play at a west Lon­don ho­tel.

The Lan­caster Lon­don ho­tel will be wel­com­ing art en­thu­si­asts from noon to 7pm on Tues­day Septem­ber 27 to ad­mire the work of the young cre­atives. The art ex­hi­bi­tion, held in the ho­tel’s Nine Kings Foyer, will fea­ture more than 40 pieces of art­work rang­ing from small A4 sets to large A0 pieces.

Cat­a­logues and book­lets will be dis­trib­uted to guests, which will ex­plain the story and method be­hind each work. All art­work will also be avail­able for vis­i­tors to buy on the day.

Lan­caster Lon­don will also be pur­chas­ing sev­eral new ad­di­tions, adding to its range of art al­ready hung around the build­ing.

Lan­caster Lon­don is mak­ing quite a name for it­self as an art lover’s des­ti­na­tion.

The ho­tel’s ARTea af­ter­noon tea has been pop­u­lar with budding artists and novice pain­ters alike, with its ed­i­ble can­vasses and whim­si­cal painter’s boxes. Del­i­cate de­lights on of­fer in­clude fin­ger sand­wiches, pas­tries and freshly baked scones, all of which are served on paint­ing slates along­side jam and clot­ted cream con­cealed in 30ml paint tubes.

On the day, every at­tendee will get a chance to pick up a 20 per cent voucher for the ho­tel’s ARTea (valid for a lim­ited time only).

The most im­pres­sive pieces of art will be cho­sen to fea­ture in the ARTea as ed­i­ble treats.
