Hat-trick hero Weatherston leads United rout
JESS Weatherston hit a hat-trick as Denham United U12s continued their fine start to the season by hammering Garston Ladies 7-1.
Player of the match Weatherston’s treble included two long-range efforts, while Maddie Johnson Taylor, Chloe Beckwith and Millie and Manuela Gomez were also on target.
Star player Niamh Reynolds went one better with four goals in the U14s’ 12-0 demolition of Garston Panthers, with Alisha Bajwa and Amy Holdcroft bagging braces. There was also a goal apiece for Courtney Woolley, Naomi Hickey, Holly Symons and Nicole Leys.
Garston finally got some revenge when their Panthers scored two late goals to squeeze past Denham’s U13s side, who had led until the last 10 minutes through Niamh Williams 2-1. Ella Greenwood was player of the match.
Melissa Asavoaie was another hat-trick hero, while Kaitlan Brown also netted and Ellie Wright was star player, as the U14s beat Ruislip Rangers 4-0, while both the U11 Wildcats and Pumas won, against Alton and Watford respectively.
But both the first team and reserves lost, 1-0 to Old Actonians and 4-2 to C&K Basildon respectively, while the U16s were beaten 4-1 by AFC Wimbledon, despite a spectacular goal from Anaisa Harney and a player of the match display from Gina Lee.
Joe Rossiter hit a hat-trick, while Ethan Cuipdo netted two and Harry Todd one, as West Drayton Explorers U10 Reds beat Langley Hornets 6-4 on Sunday.
Natal Ermais also netted a treble, while Finn Murphy was on target too and Rokas Baltusaitis man of the match, as the U10 Purples edged a 4-2 win over Townmead, but the U10 Blues went down 5-0 to BJ Leopards.
Ray Belfon Murray bagged a brace while Kian Edwards, Josh Odell, Joseph Davies and Louis Blomily shared the others, and Thomas Hickey was star man as the U12s beat Chalfont 6-0, while Zubair Naseri scored both goals as the U16s came from behind to beat Bedgrove Dynamos 2-1.
Two goals from Szymon Kowalczyk and one from Danny Gnaulati earned the U15s a 3-3 draw with Singh Sabha, while the U8 Reds drew 4-4 with the same club, thanks to Natu Yohannes’ double and further goals from Joshua Onyedum and Daniel Mickale.
Man of the match Oliver Longley struck to give the U9 Reds a 1-1 draw with Taplow United, but an Alfie Taylor strike was scant consolation for the U13s in their 14-1 reverse to Burnham Junior Blues.
