Attempted abduction investigated as two boys approached by the driver of a silver van

AN investigation has been launched by Hillingdon Police after two boys were approached by a van driver in an attempted abduction in Harefield.

Officers have confirmed “extensive CCTV enquiries are being conducted” after the incident, which took place in Park Lane, Harefield, near The Old Orchard Public House on Saturday September 24.

Two 11-year-old boys were in the area when a driver in a silver van approached them at around 7.30pm, police have reported.

The Hillingdon Metropolitan Police said: “They (the two boys) continue to assist police with the investigation.

“Extensive CCTV enquiries are being conducted and police would welcome anyone with any information in connection with this incident to contact Hillingdon CID office on 0208 246 1710.”
