Fright night fun run for hospice
Halloween theme to Colourdash 2016
FANCY doing something a little different this Halloween?
Michael Sobell Hospice is raising money for its specialist care centre with a fun, spooky colour run.
The race will see participants covered from head to toe in ghoulish coloured powder as they run, jog or walk along the route, and will have prizes on offer for the person dressed in the best costume!
Entrants will start and finish at the hospice in Northwood on Sunday October 30.
The event will see runners taking on one, two or three laps of the approximately 2km-long course and there will also be a ‘mini’ dash of 2km for children.
Ophelia ChambersHenry, Michael Sobell Hospice’s events and community fundraising manager, said: “This year, we wanted to give our Colourdash a fun Halloween theme for halfterm.
“We’re inviting all participants to come along in frightening fancy dress and there will also be a pumpkin-carving competition and a prize for the best-dressed person.
“If every entrant raises just £50 in sponsorship for the charity, this will make a huge difference to the overall funds raised from the event and in turn will help support the vital work taking place at Michael Sobell Hospice, in caring and supporting families in our local area when they need it most.”
Entry costs £20 for adults, £10 for children and £50 for families (two children and two adults). Enter online at www. m i c h a e l s o b e l l h o s p i c e. co.uk.
